Gary Toms Memorial Service

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Mr. Gary Toms, former Assistant Conductor and member of the Empire Wind Ensemble.

Mr. Toms passed away on July 27, 2018, in Rialto, CA. He was a retired music educator from the San Bernardino Unified School District, and previously taught with the Yucaipa School District. Mr. Toms enjoyed playing trumpet in the ensemble, and participated in other community ensembles throughout the area. He also enjoyed playing the piano at various community events.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Toms on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.

The location of the services is:
Family Funeral Chapel
128 N. Riverside Avenue
Rialto, CA 92376

Mr. Toms was a supportive and understanding person. I found the following quote and thought it appropriately reflected his passing:

“Perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down to let us know they are happy.”

You will be missed, my friend.

Ruben Campos
President
